“My goal is simple! I want you to feel heard, informed, respected, and supported throughout your birth, regardless of what that looks like for you and your baby.”

Hi, I’m Vrinda!

I am a Lamaze-trained Childbirth Educator and DONA-trained Birth Doula with expertise in physiological birth and helping families understand how they can work with their bodies rather than against them. I believe you deserve to enter your birth feeling informed, supported, and confident in your ability to make decisions that are right for you and your baby. Therefore, my approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and deeply centered on your individual needs.

My passion for birth work grew from witnessing how much fear, stigma, and uncertainty can surround pregnancy and birth. Too often, people enter birth without feeling fully prepared to understand their options or without feeling confident that their voice will be heard. I want to help change that. Through continuous doula support, I help you understand what is happening, explore your options, and feel prepared to advocate for yourself, so that you can approach birth with knowledge rather than fear.

In addition to this, I bring an interdisciplinary background in Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology to my work. This allows me to look at birth through more than just a physical lens. I understand that birth is influenced by our emotions, past experiences, relationships, culture, beliefs, and the healthcare environment around us. This perspective allows me to provide
individualized emotional support and to recognize that every person experiences pregnancy and birth differently.

As your doula, I will not make decisions for you or tell you what your birth “should” look like. You are the expert on your own body and baby. My role is to give you the information, reassurance, physical comfort, and emotional support you need to make decisions with confidence. Sometimes that may mean helping you prepare for the birth you have envisioned, other times, it may mean helping you navigate an unexpected change in plans while reminding you that you still have a voice and choices.

Whether you need someone to help you prepare, a calm presence beside you during labor, hands-on comfort measures, encouragement when things feel difficult, or simply someone who will listen without judgment, I am here to meet you where you are.

My goal is simple! I want you to feel heard, informed, respected, and supported throughout your birth, regardless of what that looks like for you and your baby.
