India Wanzer-Ellis, POSTPARTUM DOULA

Hi! My name is India and I'm a certified postpartum doula and infant care specialist. I live in and serve the Metro Detroit area. As a doula I use my love of childcare and the postpartum stage to give families the best support possible.

For many years I've spent my time as a wife and mother juggling my career in the healthcare field and as a preschool teacher. During this time I enjoyed helping family and friends prepare for and bring home their new little ones. It wasn't until years later that I realized there was more I could do and more families to help. That's when I learned about postpartum doulas. In 2021 I decided to train and earn my certification with ProDoula to become certified as a postpartum doula and infant care specialist.

Once you're home with your new baby there are a lot of changes that may require some additional support. That's when a postpartum doula, like myself, can step in and offer hands on help, so that you and your family can transition into this new stage of life a little smoother. I can offer help in so many ways, which will result in you getting that shower or much needed sleep you've been missing out on. I can't wait for the chance to meet you and your family.
